I saw this ages ago on *LucaAlverez's dA and forgot all about it. Now I was checking my dA and saw it again so... here goes...! Doesn't help that I'm kinda... missing them especially right now (I think it's my hormones though, yeah that time of month, phooey)

I'm mainly just going to do my two first loves, and then their adorable ward. I'd ask for requests, but... I dunno if anyone really cares anyway xD I'm answering this for myself and for those who know them.

Write out the names of your characters and explain
1) how you thought of their name
2) what made you create the character in the first place
3) how the character has changed over time (if they have changed)
4) any random fun fact about that character

Makuyo Yukichi

1) WELL. This is embarrassing. Really embarrassing. But you asked so... u_u When I created Yukichi, Gravitation had just come out in Japan (Fall 2000). I was in love with Yuki/Shuichi... And... Well... put two and two together... There. I said it. *runs off in shame* ... Makuyo was just a bunch of random syllables I put together at the time. It was only recently that I found kanji for it, and thank goodness I was able to.

2) Shiroi Akuma was the fourth story I drew up for myself. Yukichi was the main character. There's not really much else to it. The story itself has long since been shelved, even though I refer to it constantly in RPs and such, and I still write drabbles related to it. But RPs have absolutely replaced all my plans for the story. It's okay, I hardly had a plot anyway.

3) Wow. In all those years? Wow. Yukichi was supposed to be my brooding, semi-delinquent. Seriously. Think of a typical semi-hawt shounen hero. Even with the fist-fighting and such. Since then he has evolved into this slightly anti-social, sarcastic guy (that doesn't fight anymore, btw!) that easily gets embarrassed and hides a really really really sappy/softie side because he wants to assert his manhood... Crud, I just described Tsundere, didn't I? NUUUUURRRRRRRR~~~~!! ... PHYSICALLY, he's changed very minimally. I only draw his hair a lot softer than I used to.

4) I'll put a few: He's actually really conservative to start, though that usually changes a little over time. He's actually a car mechanic, which he does to support himself. Oh and he was actually supposed to be valedictorian when he graduated high school, except that he left before that happened. It's not that he's particularly SMART, he's just a sponge for information. He actually left his parents because he snapped from all the pressure they put on him for studying and such.



Ashiyama Kira

1) Lol, this is a lot less embarrassing. Kira's first name came from Yami no Matsuei, actually. In Volume 4, there's a character named Kira, who was a girl that was posing as a boy. I realized the name was unisex, and attached it to Kira almost instantly. Ashiyama was again a bunch of random syllables. I don't remember where I got 'Ashi' from, but 'yama' was mountain. I think I've changed the meaning of his name since then, but I don't really remember THAT much xD

2) Oh gawd. Really? REALLY? HAHAHA. Kira was an extra. He was a frikkin EXTRA. I was only about a year into being a yaoi fan at the time, and I decided I wanted to make a gay character. He was supposed to be the gay character that the bisexual villain of the story had a relationship with and he ended up dying for it. See? Not just a frikkin extra. He was the frikkin extra that DIED. Over the years, I've grown to love him just as much as Yukichi. There was even a time I DID love him more than Yukichi, until I realized how layered Yukichi really was.

3) ... The original Kira was shy. And quiet. Chew on that, why don't you? XD Now he's a loud, sassy, flirty guy that loves to make Yukichi miserable. I think he evolved in this way because I enjoyed torturing Yukichi and making him blush. His face has hardly changed though. Really.

4) When Kira was younger, he looked like a girl (He looks more like a guy now... I think). He really. REALLY. Hates it actually, and had this secret despise over people liking him only because of it. (Which made Yukichi a real gem) He's also had a really dismal past which used to be a lot more dismal, but I've cleaned it up since then to make him much less of a Sue XD


Kageryou Itsuki

1) Itsuki's name is something I actually put thought into... Well his last name at least. 'Itsuki' came from Fatal Frame 2. And... well his nickname came from Air Gear, where the main character is named Itsuki as well, but his nickname is 'Ikki'. Kageryou is from the kanji I decided for him, which collectively means "Shadow Spirit." ... I'm not sure if the readings work correctly together, though... So I actually... really should have verified it o.0

2) AHAHAHAHA. Well let me explain: The younger Minamoto Rio, for the longest time, had a big crush on Yukichi. The problem is, Yukichi was dating someone else, and also treated young Rio-kun like a little brother figure... I liked to 'torture' him in OOC, until I eventually made a 'fake' Yukichi that was constantly messing with him. After using this guy a few times, I finally asked, "Who/what is this guy anyway?" ... Thus my doppelganger was born. I gave him his first name (I was obsessed with Fatal Frame at the time, but I also wanted to name him Elliot after a character in DoA o__o Good thing I didn't!!), and his last name came later. Background story was added, and the rest is history...!

3) Well he was originally super mischievous and... depraved, in a way XD But he's mellowed out a LOT since then. Otherwise, he hasn't changed drastically, like his two guardians up there. ^^

4) Itsuki's an amazing cook (but mostly only Japanese food). He's also really fond of traditional Japanese things, since he grew up in a pretty rural (ninja) village. The funny thing about that is also loves samurais, and insists that Kenshin should have ended up with Misao in Rurouni Kenshin.
